David Beckham’s tattooist has launched a range of T-shirts featuring some of the star’s tattoo designs.
Lou Malloy, who is based in Manchester, is offering fans the chance to buy T-shirts with Beckham’s guardian angel tattoo on them.
The tattooist told how the design was first meant to be without wings but he then suggested he added them, and Beckham loved the idea.
He said: “David gave the brief that he wanted an image of a man with his arms outstretched and his head bowed forward. What immediately came to mind to me was the classic Olympic diver pose.
“As I was drawing it out, I thought it would look good with wings. When David saw the design he was absolutely bowled over by it and said: ‘That’s the one.’ The rest, as they say, is history.”
